President and co-founder of Sterling Custom Contractors, Toni joins forces with her husband David and their friend Christopher to take on new general contracting ventures, melding family with friendship and professionalism. With three decades as VP of D & D Builders, a business she continues to run with her talented husband David, Toni brings a wealth of expertise to the table. Her proficiency with technology, along with her in-depth knowledge in financial management, underscore her formidable skill set. This lays a strong fiscal foundation for new construction and renovation projects alike. Toni’s life extends beyond balance sheets and building sites; from raising hens, herding cats and training her German Shepherd, to being a horticulturist and creative chef. The same care and attention Toni invests at home, she extends to every client – helping them to cultivate their own beautiful living spaces.

After running construction crews with building blocks in his kindergarten days, David quickly rose to leadership roles in custom home construction. As founder and co-owner of D&D Builders, he has 30 years of framing experience under his tool belt, along with an added structural steel division that has grown successfully over the last 5 years. This includes an in house fabrication shop for both structural and ornamental steel. Now, in his partnership with Toni and Christopher as Sterling, David brings a wealth of knowledge and sets the solid foundation for each of our projects. Leveraging his deep-rooted framing expertise, David ensures the successful execution of each project. His dedication to quality and efficiency is what sets Sterling apart in the world of high-end construction.

An award-winning, nationally recognized architect, Christopher pivoted into construction after 20 years in architecture to address the gaps he observed between the Design world and the Build world. He saw an opportunity to make a better process, to bring collaboration to bear in meaningful ways, and to mitigate the pain points. Co-founding Sterling with Dave and Toni created the vessel for this journey and the ride just keeps getting better! Christopher leads the effort to sharpen our proverbial saws, refining the tools we use and the procedures we follow. He is our Excel guru, the beater of our checklist drum, our Gantt chart hero, and the master of our budgeting and estimating software. Beyond his technical skills, he is also our visionary with his eyes looking to the horizon, steering the ship and always navigating toward a better place.
